영어영문학부

언어학에서 구문론과 자연어처리 분야를 연구하였으며, 한국어와 영어의 구문분석 (-자연어처리) 현상을 비교한 연구로 미국 메릴랜드 주립대학에서 박사학위를 받았음. 최근에는 영어의 상 (aspect) 에 관한 연구, 그리고 한국어의 주어표시 조사에 관한 연구를 수행하고 있음. 천재교육과 능률교육에서 중학교, 고등학교 영어교과서를 집필하였으며, 중등교원 임용고시 출제위원과 검토위원을 여러 차례 역임하였음.

I majored in syntax and natural language processing in the graduate school of the University of Maryland. I received Ph.D there and have been doing the research in the field of syntax and semantics. My recent interest is aspectual classification of English verbs and subject case marking in Korean. I have written middle school and highschool English textbooks a couple of times, and I have also been a member of the exam boards for the national selection test for English teachers.
